MLC SPECIAL EVENTS:

Winter Gala happening Thursday Dec 11 from 6-8pm at Ella events downtown. Make sure you’ve purchased your ticket and signed up for childcare that evening! MLC will not offer aftercare that day due to the staffing needed for the event. Our annual Winter Gathering is happening Wednesday Dec 17 after our early dismissal at 11:15am. This year we will be hosting a cookie swap! Folks are encouraged to make or buy some cookies to contribute (West campus must be nut free) and we will provide bags for everyone to collect the cookies of their choice. Hang out and socialize with your kiddos & friends before we head off to break!

Community Updates

We have another new face at our East campus- Giulia has joined as a support guide in the Monarchs classroom. She comes to us from Durango Colorado, where she worked as the director of a childcare program out there in the Purgatory Ski Resort.

MLC 26-27 re-enrollment and Summer Lottery forms will be going out THIS WEEK! Make sure to read through the forms completely as there are some changes to take note of. We will host a virtual parent information meeting on Friday Dec 19 at 1:30 to discuss the details, answer questions, and share where we are at with the move of West campus.

Teacher Spotlight

Emily Rowland is the Lead Guide in the Otters Primary class at our West campus. Emily has been with MLC since 2023 and has been such a joyful and positive addition to our team. She comes from a dance background and spent time her first year with us helping to introduce dance classes to each classroom, and even taught the kiddos a winter performance. Emily decided to dive into her full Montessori Lead Guide training in 2024 and has just completed the program through CGMS! That is over 1500 hours of course work! Emily brings her students an environment of support, care, and encouragement. She finds ways to laugh and celebrate little wins each day. We are so proud of the teacher she has become and look forward to seeing her grow.
