Program Introduction: Chickadees
We are the Chickadees classroom!
We care for 10 children raging from ages 15 mo. to 2 years old. Our goal is to create an environment that is truly a children’s house. Our day to day routines involve setting up placemats and utensils for meals, table cleaning and floor sweeping, plant watering, and care of self (hand washing, diaper changing, dressing etc.) and meal prep.
Children, especially at this age, want to be a part of the world they see the adults in their life engaging in. Making a space that is accessible for them to do just that is our goal.
Another big piece of our curriculum at this age is social and emotional regulation. Every day we are modeling examples of how to treat the people and world around us with respect, even if we feel upset.
We also love exploring water play, watercolor painting, playdough, outdoor walks, and more!
