MLC Special Events
We are gearing up for our big Winter Gala fundraiser happening in December! Block off your calendar Thursday Dec 11 from 6-8pm
We will be throwing the Gala at Ella events in downtown Asheville and offering a childcare option for the evening so that parents can attend an adult evening out. Tickets will be available for purchase next week so keep an eye on your emails. Sponsors are still needed for this event to help us cover the costs of food, drinks, etc.

Community Updates
MLC has welcomed a few new faces to the team!
Elena has joined the Honeybees classroom
Grace has joined the Caterpillars classroom
Elena comes to us with experience coaching at the YMCA, teaching swim for kiddos, and nannying. She enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and hanging with her pup. Grace spent time teaching at Creative Village and has her Associates in Teacher Preparation from AB Tech. She loves crafting, sewing, and drawing. They are both working the aftercare shift with us so you’ll see them if you pick your child up after 3:30 :)
Teacher Spotlight
Britni Toolan is the Lead Guide in the Honeybees Primary class at our East campus.
Britni has been with MLC since the East location first opened in 2020. Her classroom is a place of peace and beauty, and gives each child the opporunity to explore and benefit from a lovingly prepared environment. Britni takes the time to connect with each child on a deeply personal level and helps them to feel empowered in their independence. She can be heard singing songs all throughout the day to prompt students for transitions and routines. She infuses her motherhood skills into the classroom and is always a calm and supportive presence even on the busiest of days.
MLC is lucky to have Mrs. Britni here to add her thorough understanding of the Montessori Pedagogy to our program!
