Early Care at MLC
Our Early Care Program
Our Early Care program offers added flexibility for families who need an earlier start to their day.
Beginning at 7:30 AM, children are welcomed into our designated Early Care space, currently located in the Chickens Room. This gives children time to arrive, settle in, and ease into their morning before transitioning to their regular classrooms at 8:30 AM.
Early Care is intentionally relaxed and flexible. Children may choose to work with manipulatives, color or draw, spend time with friends, enjoy breakfast brought from home, or simply have a quiet moment before their classroom day begins.
At 8:30 AM, children transition to their regular classrooms and begin their Montessori day with their teachers and classmates.
Our goal is to make Early Care feel like a natural extension of the MLC day—a calm, welcoming place where children can start their morning at their own pace.
Scheduling & Drop-In Care
Families enrolled in Early Care will select the mornings their child regularly attends. Monthly Early Care tuition is based on your child's Early Care schedule.
Need an occasional extra morning? Drop-in Early Care is available for $25 per day and must be requested in advance. Drop-in availability is based on program space and staffing.
Please contact MLC if you need to make a change to your child's regular Early Care schedule.

Monthly Cost
$100–$250 per month, based on your child’s scheduled Early Care days.
Drop-In Care
$25 per day. Advance sign-up is required before using Early Care, including drop-in days. Drop-in care is available as space allows.
Breakfast
Children are welcome to bring breakfast from home. Please send food prepared and ready to eat. Early Care staff are unable to heat, cook, or prepare food.
Weather Delays
Early Care is closed when MLC operates on a weather delay. Regular drop-off will begin according to the announced delayed schedule.
Registration
Families must register for Early Care before using the program. Space and availability may vary based on enrollment.
